HOUSTON – Angry robbers pistol-whipped a worker and smashed display cases at a smoke accessory shop in northwest Houston, police said.
The crime happened at Houston 420 in the 12300 block of Hempstead Highway near Southerland just before 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Four men wearing masks and holding guns came into the 24-hour shop and demanded cash and cigarettes. The store had neither, so the angry robbers assaulted the employee. They then smashed some cases and took some cigars before fleeing the scene.
Police said the men got into a black pickup and got away.
