HOUSTON — Police are trying to solve a suspected road rage shooting that ended with one man dead. Houston police released a photo of a car and asked for the public's help in finding the driver.
The shooting happened just before 9 a.m. Thursday. The victim drove himself to a gas station on Almeda Genoa off the Gulf Freeway to get help.
The man collapsed on his way back out of the store. Multiple people were at the store and saw it happen. A witness said he watched first responders perform CPR. The man later died at a the hospital.
Detectives say the victim's car had multiple bullet holes in it.
Police released photos of a dark red Kia Optima. Police say the driver may have information about the shooting. Police labeled the car a "vehicle of interest."
Houston police said they think the shooting was road rage related but they're not exactly sure what happened or where it happened.
The man's identity hasn't been revealed but authorities said they were working on releasing more information about the shooting.
