HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A chase with a stolen vehicle ended in a rollover crash when the car slammed into a pole on Highway 6 south of the Katy Freeway Wednesday morning, according to Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.
Precinct 4 said this started when deputies were dispatched to a report of a stolen vehicle in the Humble area.
When deputies caught up with the vehicle, they tried to pull it over but the driver led them on a chase. Precinct 4 said the car thieves lost control of the vehicle on Highway 6 just south of the Katy Freeway.
The stolen vehicle slammed into a pole and then rolled over.
Precinct 4 said the two alleged car thieves were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.
The highway was shut down for a little while but has since reopened. However, traffic lights in the area appear to be down.
