HOUSTON — A longtime pilot posted bond and was released from custody after he was arrested and charged with assaulting a Harris County deputy.
In Nichollas Dreis' mugshot, he had a black eye -- presumably from the encounter.
He's accused of blocking two lanes of traffic at George Bush Intercontinental Airport while he was dropping his wife off on Sunday.
According to prosecutors, the deputy was telling Dreis to move his car when Dreis became combative and punched the deputy.
Dreis' attorney said the deputy was using excessive force and hit Dreis with his flashlight and shocked him with a Taser.
Dreis is due back in court in January.
