HOUSTON — Houston police are searching for a suspect after a deadly shooting at an apartment complex near NRG Stadium.
The shooting happened Thursday around 11 a.m. at Advenir at The Med Center apartments on Buffalo Speedway near the South Loop.
Investigators said the victim and his girlfriend were confronting a group of young men attempting to break into vehicles in the parking lot. The victim was then shot multiple times while running after a suspect that took something from his girlfriend.
The man was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police described the suspect as a young Black man in a lime green hoodie with gray pants and red shoes.
They also said they're looking for two persons of interest who may have been with the shooter at the time.
