HOUSTON — Houston police are hoping the public can help them catch a serial sexual assault suspect who's believed to be responsible for at least five attacks on the north side.
The most recent attack happened Friday morning at an apartment complex off West Little York Road. Houston police said a woman was assaulted by the man. They said he got into her unit through an unlocked door.
The message from police is clear: Be aware of who's around you and keep your doors locked.
The attack on Little York is just the latest in a string of sexual assaults police said the man has committed since mid-August.
The first attack happened at an apartment complex on West Gulf Bank. Police said the man got into a woman's unit and assaulted her at 6:30 a.m.
In the following months, police said four more women were attacked -- all in the 5300 block of West Gulf Bank Road. All of the attacks happened at women's apartments and police said the suspect wore a ski mask and had a gun. They said he forced his way inside after they opened the door when he knocked.
Police are asking for the public's help in catching the predator before he assaults another woman. You're asked to call Houston police with any information that could help.
