HOUSTON — A woman held hostage during a standoff at an apartment complex on the east side on Friday night was uninjured when the incident came to an end, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
According to Gonzalez, it happened at an apartment complex on Normandy Street, near the Cloverleaf area.
The man barricaded himself inside a unit after firing at Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies who were responding to a disturbance call, Gonzalez said.
The man was later taken into custody, according to Gonzalez.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
