CONROE, Texas — A call about a suspicious person led to the arrest of a man who stole mail from dozens of Montgomery County residents, the sheriff's office said.
MCSO deputies responded to the call on Shore View Drive in Conroe on Tuesday. A resident reported seeing a man hiding his face as he tried to open the door to their home.
They located a suspect who matched the description and pulled him over in a stolen car. Investigators said Adler Jurgens, from Cleveland in Liberty County, had mail, credit cards, checks and vehicle titles that belonged to approximately 100 Montgomery County residents. They also found illegal drugs and burglary tools in the car.
Jurgens was arrested on charges including possession of a controlled substance, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and fraudulent possession of identifying information.
He was taken to the Montgomery County Jail where he was being held on a $71,500 bond.
