THE WOODLANDS, Texas — A man was hospitalized after shots were fired during a road rage incident near The Woodlands on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Montogomery County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said they received reports of gunshots near the intersection of Sawdust Road and Budde Road -- just west of the North Freeway.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the incident stemmed from road rage. Investigators said a man fired multiple shots through the passenger side of another man's vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle that was shot at was grazed and sustained a wound to his ear. He was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive.
All parties involved were located by deputies and are cooperating with the investigation. Detectives are also talking to witnesses and canvassing the area for surveillance video.
This is an isolated incident. No other suspects or victims are being sought, according to deputies.
The identities of those who were involved have not been released.
