Police release surveillance video of deadly shooting at Meyerland-area apartment complex

Houston police are hoping someone recognizes the suspect they said shot and killed a 23-year-old man in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Braesvalley Drive.

HOUSTON — Houston police are searching for a suspect they said shot and killed a man at a Meyerland-area apartment complex on Tuesday.

It happened in the parking lot of a complex on Braesvalley Drive just north of North Braeswood Boulevard between Hillcroft Avenue and Chimney Rock Road.

According to police, the suspect and the victim got into an argument around 6 p.m.

Police said the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim multiple times before running away from the scene. The 23-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.

The suspect was wearing blue shorts and a black jacket at the time of the shooting. On Wednesday, police released this surveillance video of the incident.

It appears to show the suspect yelling at someone before the video cuts to after the shots were fired and the suspect runs away.
