HOUSTON — Houston police said they were searching for two people who ran away from a deadly shooting scene on the southeast side on Wednesday.
It happened along Martin Luther King Boulevard just south of the South Loop. The Houston Police Department first posted about the shooting on social media around 3:30 p.m.
The 17-year-old victim, whose name hasn't been released, was talking with a friend near the complex pool when the gunman walked up and shot him. The friend wasn't injured.
The suspect took off heading northbound on MLK. According to HPD, he is believed to be 16 to 22 years of age and was wearing a dark-colored hoodie with white shorts.
