Man found shot, stabbed to death near in parking lot retention pond in northwest Houston, HCSO says

"We got a lot of legwork to do. We got a lot of surveillance video we're going to be looking at," HCSO Sgt. Sidney Miller said.

HOUSTON — A man was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds and potentially stab wounds near a retention pond in northwest Houston Sunday morning, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Sgt. Sidney Miller with HCSO said deputies were called out to the scene after receiving a call from Cy-Fair EMS around 6 a.m. reporting a man in his late 20s or early 30s had been found dead. The body was found in a parking lot across from an apartment complex on Hollister Street near Little York Road.

The victim has not yet been identified and Miller said it was unclear how long the body had been there for.

"We're not sure at this point. We got a lot of legwork to do. We got a lot of surveillance video we're going to be looking at," he said. "We're going to be trying to figure out who this guy is."

Miller said based on the man's clothing, there may have been a struggle before he was killed. Bullet casings were found at the scene.

If you have any information about what happened, you're asked to contact HCSO's Homicide Division at 713-274-9100 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
