Man shot in head after helping friend get items from ex-boyfriend's house in League City, police say

The victim's condition is unknown. The suspect has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

LEAGUE CITY, Texas — A man was shot in the head Saturday in a domestic violence incident in League City, according to police.

The suspect has been identified as Irkan Notta, police said. He has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The shooting happened at about 3 p.m. at an apartment complex on Beacon Circle.

Police said Notta's ex-girlfriend and her friends came to the apartment to get a few of her things when pulled out a gun and fired a shot that hit a friend of the ex-girlfriend in the head.

"The victim was in a Ram pickup truck and it appears that his vehicle was struck through the back windshield by the gunshot, and then he was in the driver's seat and had gotten hit in the back of the head," police said.

The victim's condition is unknown.
