HOUSTON — A man turned himself into police Friday after he admitted to shooting and killing another man who was allegedly choking his dog.
This happened just before 8 p.m. on Shirkmere Road and Queenswood Lane, which is near The Heights.
According to Lt. Crowson with the Houston Police Department, the man said he got into an argument with the other man when he saw the dog being abused. He said in order to protect the dog, he shot the man, Crowson said.
The breed of the dog is unknown and police did not say what condition the dog is in.
The Harris County District Attorney's Office will investigate to see if any charges will be filed.
