HOUSTON – A concerned grandmother called Houston police when she found her two grandchildren home alone and without food Thursday.
That led to the arrest of Raymond Broussard, who was arrested and charged with child abandonment.
The grandmother arrived at the Pine Terrace apartment complex on the 3900 block of Omeara Drive in southwest Houston after concerns of her daughter's whereabouts. According to deputies, the grandmother knocked on the door, which was answered by her 6-year-old grandson.
The daughter returned home shortly after deputies arrived and said that her boyfriend, Broussard, was supposed to be watching the two boys. Broussard later arrived to the complex intoxicated, where he was arrested.
Broussard is currently in the Harris County Jail under $2,000 bond.
