HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A woman was found shot to death in her driveway while another was found stabbed in a suspected murder-suicide in the Katy area Tuesday night, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Three children were at the home when all of this happened.
This happened just before 11 p.m. at a home on Upland Spring Trace just west of the Grand Parkway.
The sheriff’s office said a 35-year-old woman came home from work when she was confronted by her estranged husband who shot her. He then forced his way into the house where he stabbed a 25-year-old woman.
Deputies said the husband was found dead about a half mile away from the home with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Officials said they are investigating this as a murder-suicide.
The woman who was stabbed is still in the hospital, while the three children, ages 16, 13, and 7, were not injured.
