HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -- A 52-year-old man faces a murder charge in the death of his wife after a domestic dispute turned deadly Thursday night, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say they responded to a 911 call at 9 p.m. at a home in the 22400 block of Coriander near Katy. When deputies arrived, they found a 52-year-old woman dead from multiple stab wounds.

Deputies spoke with the victim’s husband, 52-year-old Rene Jaime, who allegedly confessed he and his wife had gotten into a fight. The dispute then turned deadly.

Investigators said the couple’s two teenage sons, ages 15 and 13, were home but in another room at the time.

Jaime was detained at the scene, and homicide detectives were called to conduct the investigation.

While conducting the investigation, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted a felony charge of murder against Jaime. He currently is being booked into the Harris County Jail.
