HOUSTON – Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an aggravated robbery in October.
According to the Houston Police Department, it happened on Oct. 30 at 12:40 p.m. at the grocery store located in the 5200 block of West 34th.
At that time, the suspect picked up two cases of beer and walked out of a grocery store without paying for the items.
The Loss Prevention associates followed the suspect out of the store and into the parking lot. Once outside the victims approached the suspect in order to detain him.
The suspect began to run but tripped and fell to the ground. A brief struggle ensued, the suspect pulled out a handgun, then ran and jumped into the bed of a white Ford extended cab F-150 pick-up truck and fled the scene.
Video surveillance cameras in the store captured images of the suspect.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 25 to 35 years of age with black hair and a black goatee. The suspect was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a white shirt and blue jeans at the time of the crime.
