HPD searching for driver who they say used truck to intentionally hit valet worker

Houston police said they're searching for the man who used his truck to intentionally hit a valet driver after leaving a club in November.

HOUSTON — Houston police are searching for a man who they said intentionally hit a valet worker with his truck late last year.

It happened on Nov. 23 around 2:15 a.m. along Kelton Street -- near where Old Spanish Trail meets the South Freeway.

The Houston Police Department released videos of the incident on Tuesday.

In the video, the suspect is seen getting out of his truck and approaching the valet and another man who had approached him. The suspect pushed the other man away and all three left the area.

In another video clip taken a short time later, the suspect is seen driving his truck down Kelton and then veering off the road to hit the valet, who was on a sidewalk, police said. The suspect then left the scene, according to investigators.

The victim, 23, was taken to an area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The truck appears to be a black Dodge Ram with lights on the roof. Investigators said they think the suspect had just left a club along Raleigh Street before the incident happened.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division at 713-308-8800 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
