HOUSTON — The family of a man who was shot and killed in his car, causing him to crash is asking for help to find his killer.

According to the Houston Police Department, Richard Galvan, 33, was found on Jan. 14, 2023, inside of a crashed vehicle on Blue Ridge Road. He was shot at least once and died at the hospital.

Houston police are now releasing new surveillance video of the alleged suspect’s car, a black or gray four-door sedan, leaving where Galvan’s car crashed.

The video also shows the suspect tailing Galvan before the deadly shooting in what police believe was a road rage.

Investigators spoke on behalf of Galvan’s family Friday morning.

“The family has mustered up the strength to come here to stand before you today. I’m sure that took a lot of courage and they are very emotional, so they’ve decided not to provide a statement,” HPD Det. Josh Cayden said.
