HOUSTON — A man was shot to death in the back while working on a car outside an apartment complex in northwest Houston Wednesday night, police say.
This happened on Grow Road near US-290 shortly after 9 p.m.
Investigators said they couldn't find any witnesses, but were working to gather surveillance video from the area. According to the Houston Police Department, the man was shot in the back and ran a short distance before collapsing. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
It's unclear what led up to the shooting.
