HOUSTON — One man is dead, found with a gunshot wound in a vehicle along a Beltway 8 exit ramp in northeast Houston Tuesday night.
Lt. Larry Crowson with the Houston Police Department said a call about the shooting came in around 9 p.m. A witness reported seeing two cars heading eastbound on Beltway 8 near the Eastex Freeway, exchanging gunfire.
When police arrived, they found a man dead inside a vehicle along the Mesa exit from the Beltway.
“We did have two good Samaritans stop and try to give the victim CPR,” Crowston said. “Unfortunately, that was unsuccessful.”
Crowson said police are looking for witnesses or surveillance video that can help them find the shooter. At this point, they’re not sure if it was road rage or something else.
