HOUSTON — Houston police are searching for a man accused of murder in connection with the disappearance of his wife.
Police said Crystal Lynch, 35, was reported missing on May 7 and the last person she was known to be with was her husband, Marquise Rochard Glasper, 37, at their apartment on West Gulf Bank Road in northwest Houston.
Glasper has been charged with murder, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and tampering with evidence - human corpse in the case, according to the Houston Police Department.
Lynch's body has not been found and Glasper hasn't been taken into custody.
A witness told police that Glasper believed Lynch was having an affair before she disappeared. Glasper had previously said he would hurt Lynch if he ever found out she cheated on him, according to police.
HPD said investigators found blood in multiple areas of Lynch's car. They also searched the apartment the two shared and said it looked as though someone had tried to clean up a crime scene.
Lynch's daughters have been staying with her sister, Jennifer Mumphrey, in Dallas since her disappearance more than six months ago.
"They are really missing their mother," Mumphrey said. "A very strong, strong woman. A very good mother."
Lynch has two children who will be going through the holidays without their mom. She's also the youngest of her three siblings.
Her family wants Glasper to turn himself in.
"Turn yourself in. Let us know, you know, where she is and, you know, do the right thing," Mumphrey said.
Mumphrey said she spoke to her sister on the day she went missing. She said the couple had only been married about a year.
"We want closure. One way or the other, we want closure, but I always hope and pray for the best," Mumphrey said.
Mumphrey said she never had a good feeling about her brother-in-law. She said justice won't be possible until Glasper is arrested and Lynch's body is found.
