HPD: 3 men shot after argument leads to fistfight at Houston home north of downtown

The three men who were shot were not involved in the original fight, HPD said.

HOUSTON — Three men were shot at a home north of downtown Houston early Saturday morning, police said.

This happened shortly before 1 a.m. on Fulton Street, which is in a neighborhood off North Main Street north of I-10.

Lt. R. Willkens with the Houston Police Department said an argument between a man and his girlfriend's family turned into a fistfight before he and his girlfriend left. The man later came back with his brother and started shooting as the three victims told them to leave, according to HPD. Police aren't sure whether both brothers opened fire.

The three men who were shot were not involved in the original fight, Willkens said. The man who was involved in the fight had already gone inside the home.

The three men, ages 39, 29 and 24, were taken to area hospitals. Two of them are expected to be OK and the third is questionable, according to HPD.

Willkens said the suspects left the scene, but police know who they are and are looking for them.
