Possible road rage shooting victim found dead after crashing into building in SW Houston

Witnesses heard multiple gunshots before the pickup truck driver crashed through a fence and into a building on Bissonnet near Cook Road.

HOUSTON — Houston police are investigating an apparent road rage shooting that left a man dead in southwest Houston Wednesday.

Surveillance video shows a dark-colored sedan following a black pickup truck on Bissonnet Street near Cook Road around noon.

Witnesses heard multiple gunshots before the pickup truck driver crashed through a fence and into a community pool building. The driver died at the scene, according to the Houston Police Department.

"Appears there was a shooting between the complainant, the victim, and another vehicle. It appears the victim was struck by the gunshot and crashed after succumbing to his wounds," HPD Sgt. John Stroble told us.

No one was in the building the truck hit and there were no other injuries.

Police hope to find more surveillance video to help identify the shooter. They also want to hear from witnesses.
