Chase ends when driver loses control, flips car in southeast Houston, Pasadena police say

​According to Pasadena police, the chase started when officers attempted a traffic stop on a car that had been reported stolen.

HOUSTON — Five people were taken to a hospital after a police chase that ended in a crash in southeast Houston early Thursday morning, according to the Pasadena Police Department.

This happened around 12:45 a.m. The chase started near Spencer Highway in the Pasadena area and ended on East Orem Drive near Telephone Road. It lasted around 10 to 12 minutes.

According to Pasadena police, the chase started when officers attempted a traffic stop on a car that had been reported stolen. The driver took off before crashing out and flipping the car onto its roof.

Officers did administer first aid to the five people in the car, who were all taken to an area hospital. It's unclear what condition they were in.

No officers were injured in the incident.
