Possible drive-by shooting at high school graduation party leaves one dead, another hurt, Houston police say

HPD said they received a call about the shooting at around 1:02 a.m. and officers arrived just minutes later.

HOUSTON — Houston police are investigating after a possible drive-by shooting at a high school graduation party early Sunday morning.

This happened shortly after 1 a.m. on Mossrose Street near Garland Drive north of the Gulf Freeway.

Police said a man was found dead at the scene with gunshot wounds. Another person was taken to an area hospital, also with gunshot wounds. That person is expected to survive.

There's no word on a suspect or what led up to the shooting.
