HOUSTON — Houston police are looking for four people who stole a man's car at gunpoint in broad daylight earlier this month.
It happened on Jan. 4 around 4:30 p.m. at a gas station along Jensen Drive just north of Tidwell Road.
The Houston Police Department's Robbery Division posted surveillance video of the crime to its YouTube page.
HPD investigators said the victim was sitting in his car in the parking lot when the four suspects approached his passenger window and asked for a cigarette.
The victim told investigators that he felt uncomfortable so he decided to leave and started backing up.
Then, the suspect at the window pulled out a gun and told the victim to get out of the car, investigators said.
The victim got out of the car and the four suspects got inside and drove away, police said.
The next day, HPD officers found the stolen car abandoned on the northeast side near the intersection of Ley Road and Wayside Drive, which is about 5 miles away from where the car was stolen.
