HOUSTON — Three people were shot at an apartment complex in northwest Houston and police are looking for the gunman.

Police were called around 11 p.m. to a complex on Pitner Road near Northwest Freeway for a report of a woman shot in her leg. When officers arrived they found three had been shot.

Investigators said a man wearing all black paced the parking lot before he pulled out a gun and started shooting into the apartments above. Police said two men were sitting on a porch when the gunman opened fire. They were shot in the legs.  A bullet went through a wall and hit the woman.

The three people were taken to a hospital and they are expected to be OK.

Investigators said they didn’t know which apartment was the target.

The shooter got away before the police arrived.

Because there was no power in the area, police said they would likely not have surveillance camera footage.

They are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the Houston Police Department at (713) 884-313.
