HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — The Harris County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal hit-and-run that took place Monday night in north Harris County.
Police say they were called at about 9:49 p.m. Monday to Hill Road east of Airline, where they found the victim lying in the roadway. First responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
The victim was one of three men unloading a truck and trailer from one side of the road to a property on the other side. While crossing the road, the victim was struck by a vehicle.
Investigators said that vehicle then fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
The information on the suspect's vehicle is very limited at this time.
