SAN FRANCISCO — CBS Sports is reporting former Florida Gator and rookie San Francisco 49ers wide-receiver Ricky Pearsall was shot during an attempted robbery Saturday in San Francisco's Union Square neighborhood.
The wide receiver and the suspect are in stable condition at San Francisco General Hospital, according to CBS Sports's report.
Pearsall was shot through the chest as the shooter tried to steal his Rolex watch, according to an X post from Fox40 sports reporter Sean Cunningham.
Another X post from the San Francisco Police Department said the robbery happened around 3:37 p.m. Saturday.
Both Pearsall and the suspect were shot, CBS Sports said.
