Two children were able to get out of the house, escaping the fire with minor injuries. A 3-year-old was trapped inside. Police entered the bedroom and rescued the child. That child was airlifted to a hospital for treatment and was later released.

Pulgar was also severely injured in the fire. He was released from the hospital Thursday and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail.
