HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff's Office discovered a driver had been shot to death in a crashed car on the Eastex Freeway Sunday morning, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
Gonzalez said deputies were responding to reports of a crash on the freeway near East Mt. Houston Road when they made the discovery. The crash was reported around 5 a.m.
Sgt. Pinkins with HCSO said there were several gunshot holes in the driver's side of the vehicle. He said there's no evidence the driver returned fire.
