HOUSTON — One person was detained after deputies found guns, drugs, and thousands of dollars in cash at a vacant home near downtown Houston, according to deputies with Harris County Constable Precinct 6.

On Monday, deputies were called out to a home in the 300 block of York Street because it was reported the home was being used to sell narcotics.

When deputies knocked on the back door, a man called out that he were coming out with his hands up. He was placed in a squad car as deputies searched the home for more suspects.

Inside the home, deputies found drugs, guns, cash, and a safe. They also found a TV showing surveillance footage of the outside of the home.

No other suspects were in the home and the man detained told deputies he didn't live there. It's unclear if he will face any charges.

In total, deputies found more than nearly $9,000 in cash, five firearms, and a slew of different types of drugs.

Harris County Precinct 6 Constable Silvia Trenino posted about the bust on Facebook on Thursday.
