HOUSTON — The Houston Police Department released a composite sketch of a suspected gunman wanted in connection with a deadly shooting in July.
The shooting happened just after 11 p.m. on July 9 on Club Creek Drive near Beltway 8 in southwest Houston.
Police believe the man in the sketch shot and killed 34-year-old Claudio Diaz.
Investigators said officers responded to a shooting call on Club Creek and found Diaz in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers tried to save him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said Diaz had been involved in a fight with two unknown people. One of them pulled a gun and shot him. They both ran from the scene following the shooting.
After speaking with witnesses, investigators released a composite sketch of the suspected gunman.
