TOMBALL, Texas — A Tomball man is accused of taking payment to kill a Los Angeles doctor, according to Los Angeles law enforcement.
Los Angeles Police Department officials said Dr. Hamid Mirshojae was shot and killed in August in a targeted attack outside his practice in Woodland Hills.
Mirshojae was shot multiple times outside of his car as he left work.
Evan Hardman, 41, was taken into custody in the Greater Houston area on Tuesday. Mirshojae's ex-wife, Ahang Mirshojae, 53, was arrested Thursday.
Ahang Mirshojaeis us accused of hiring Hardman as a hitman to kill Dr. Hamid Mirshojae for financial gain, according to Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman.
Ashley Rose Sweeting, 40, was also taken into custody. She drove Hardman to and from the crime scene, according to investigators.
The District Attorney and Los Angeles police held a news conference on the case Monday.
