HOUSTON — Two police officers are in the hospital recovering after a crash that caused their vehicle to flip and land in a ditch Sunday night.
The happened around 9 p.m. near Greenspoint Mall.
According to the Houston Police Department, the two officers attempted to pull over the driver of a white Chevrolet Suburban that was driving recklessly. The driver then took off, going the wrong way and running multiple red lights.
During the chase, the patrol unit bottomed out, causing the officer behind the wheel to lose control. Police said the cruiser hit a water main and a concrete barrier before flipping into the ditch.
