Man, woman charged after two shootings at fast food restaurants, including one incident over cheese, police say

Houston police said the altercations began over an incorrect order at Whataburger and not enough cheese on a Jack in the Box taco.

HOUSTON — A man and woman were arrested and charged after shootings occured at two northwest Houston fast food restaurants, according to police.

Houston police said just before 8 p.m. on March 2, they were called to a Whataburger off the West Loop and 18th Street. When they got there, they learned shots were fired and a manager was struck.

According to court documents, surveillance video showed a woman identified as Faith Bailey getting out of a car in the parking lot and going into the restaurant.

After getting a drink and bag of food, she leaves but returns 30 seconds later with a man, identified as Christian Nwabuisi, who police say started shooting.

The Whataburger manager told KHOU 11 News that Bailey claimed the order she'd made through the app was incorrect and she was angry. He said the shooter fired 11 shots, hitting and wounding another manager.

After that, the pair took off.

Police said they used the license plate data to connect the shooting with a similar incident that happened at a Jack in the Box only a mile away at the end of January.

Security showed the same man and woman in the drive-thru, according to police.

Police said Bailey began arguing with a worker through the window. Soon after that, they said Nwabuisi pulled out his gun and stuck it into the drive-thru window.

He's accused of firing 10 rounds while Bailey threw stuff at the workers through the window. Police said the altercation began after Bailey became upset because she didn't get enough cheese on her taco.

No Jack in the Box employees were hurt.

Bailey and Nwabusui are due back in court Tuesday.
