HOUMA, La. – A couple riding around with nearly $18,000 worth of crystal meth and marijuana in their car along with a 5-year-old child was arrested Sunday on multiple counts.
According to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, Philip Ray Baker Jr., 43, and Stephanie Martin, 29, were in a Toyota Corolla when State Police conducted a traffic stop.
Troopers and agents located about one pound of crystal meth, over 20 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and $700 in currency.
There was also a 5-year-old child, identified as Baker’s child, in the vehicle.
Baker and Martin were arrested and booked with possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance over 400 grams, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile and transactions involving drug proceeds.
