HOUSTON — Houston police are investigating a deadly shooting at a southwest Houston apartment complex.
The shooting happened around 8:45 p.m. on Cook Road near Beechnut Street in the Alief area.
Three people were shot and killed during a disturbance at the Tierra del Sol apartments, HPD Assistant Chief Alvaro Guzman said at a news conference. He said the disturbance led to a shootout at a laundromat used by residents at the complex.
Two victims believed to be juveniles were shot inside the laundromat and they died at the scene. A third victim, also believed to be a juvenile, was shot outside the laundromat and he died at the hospital.
"A very tragic event here. We have family that's here, we have young lives that have been lost," Guzman said. "Please keep the families in your thoughts and prayers."
Police are looking for two persons of interest who are believed to be in their late teens or early 20s. No other description was available.
One weapon was recovered from inside the laundromat.
