HOUSTON — A child was taken to the hospital after being shot in Houston's South Side Friday afternoon, according to Houston police.
It happened at a gas station on Scott Street near the South Loop.
Police said a suspect was outside with three other men when some sort of argument broke out and he started firing shots at another vehicle.
The suspect then got into his vehicle and left the scene.
In the midst of that, a 10-year-old boy was shot in the leg, according to police.
Police said the boy was taken to a nearby fire station and then transported to Texas Children's Hospital. He's expected to survive.
Police have reviewed security footage and are still looking for the suspect.
