A chase came to an end when a trio of suspects crashed into a ditch and ran away on foot overnight, police say.
Around 3 a.m. Monday a Houston Police officer spotted a suspicious pickup near an open gate outside a closed industrial business. When the officer approached, the suspects fled and allegedly refused to pull over.
The suspects turned onto Lingonberry and hit a dead end at Chain in southeast Houston; they then crashed into a ditch. Two of the crooks jumped out and managed to run away. A third suspect tried to run as well but was quickly apprehended.
Police say the captured suspect was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Investigators went back to the business to see what the suspects were trying to steal, if anything.
