HOUSTON – Arson investigators haves released surveillance video of a suspect wanted for starting a fire behind a Walmart earlier this year in southeast Houston.
According to the Houston Fire Department, it happened just before 2 a.m. on Jan. 29 at the Walmart Super Center located at 2391 S. Wayside Drive.
Investigators said a white male in his mid-twenties set an incendiary fire inside an empty shipping container.
Surveillance footage shows the suspect enter and exit the shipping container several times while the fire was still ablaze. Click here to view surveillance footage of the crime.
The shipping container was destroyed and the rear wall of the store sustained extensive heat damage.
Fire officials said no one has been charged or arrested with arson for this fire.
They are asking the community to come forward with any information about the person responsible for this crime.
