HOUSTON – Police say a man died in a hit-and-run in northeast Houston early Thursday.
The incident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. in the 3900 block of Tidwell about a mile east of Mesa Drive.
The male cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His bike was found crushed on the side of the road.
Police say whoever hit the man sped away, but several car parts were left behind.
A description of the suspect vehicle was not immediately available, but police hope the investigation into the car parts will reveal more information.
