BAYTOWN, Texas -- A 17-year-old Baytown girl who was charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of her male friend was found not guilty.
A jury returned the verdict late Monday.
Haley Korocy was accused of fatally shooting her 22-year-old friend Dustin Head after the two argued on Oct. 2, 2013.
Head was found by his sister lying in the 700 block of Kilgore Road and bleeding from a gunshot wound around 3 a.m. The sister called 911 to report that her brother had been shot.
He was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
