ATASCOCITA, Texas — A man is dead after getting hit by the car he had just gotten out of Sunday morning, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.
This happened on West Lake Houston Parkway near Madera Run Parkway in Atascocita. The sheriff first posted about the incident on social media at 8:41 a.m.
Gonzalez said the man appeared to have gotten into a fight with the driver of the car before getting out. At some point, the driver hit the man with the car, killing him.
The driver stayed at the scene. According to Gonzalez, deputies with Harris County Pct. 4 Constable's Office were the first to respond to the scene. HCSO also sent investigators to the scene.
Details are limited at this time. It's unclear what, if any, charges the driver may face.
