BEAUMONT, Texas - At least 40 people were arrested across Beaumont Wednesday, as part of a sweeping warrant round-up conducted by Beaumont Police, officials with the Drug Enforcement Administration, the ATF and the U.S. Marshals Service.
Beaumont Police Department's Special Assignment Unit and The Narcotics/Vice Unit compiled a total of 115 Felony warrants and 10 Misdemeanor cases. They were presented to the DA's office. And in return BPD received 115 SEALED warrants.
Around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Beaumont Police Department's SWAT, Special Assignment Unit and patrol officers served a search warrant in the 1100 block of Long St.

Beaumont police officer Joe Ornelas said 9 guns were found at the home. One of them was stolen. 42 grams of crack cocaine were also found.
The Beaumont police department said 110 block of Long Street has been a huge problem area to the city. Citizen complaints and many patrol arrest have resulted in guns and drugs taken off this street.
