HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Two teens were arrested and another remains on the run in connection with shots fired during a home invasion in the Humble area Monday morning, according to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.
The constable’s office posted to social media about the incident just before 6:30 a.m. They said the two gunmen broke into a home on Tulipan Spring Trail and held a family at gunpoint with rifles.
The gunmen fired shots while inside the home and left the scene in the Dodge Ram truck they arrived in. Deputies said the men also stole a Jeep from the family.
While investigating the home invasion, deputies received another call to a home on Fuchsia Lane in Humble. The caller said he was robbed at gunpoint by a man who then left in a white pickup truck.
Deputies said they recovered the Ram during a traffic stop on Flax Bourton Drive. Deputies said the driver ran away heading north on Flax Bourton and jumped fences.
Deputies searched the area near North Freeway and found and detained two male suspects, ages 13 and 18. The victims identified the two as the guys who robbed them. The third person ran and is still on the loose. Deputies are working to identify him.
The Jeep Cherokee that was stolen in the first robbery was found, deputies said. As well as around $300 in stolen goods.
