HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Sheriff’s deputies took five men and two women into custody early Wednesday after an aggravated robbery at a north Harris County IHOP restaurant.
It happened on Cypress Station at FM 1960 overnight. Deputies received a report that several suspects got out of an SUV and robbed workers and customers inside the IHOP.
A description of the getaway vehicle was put out over the police radio as the suspects fled the scene.
Deputies soon spotted the suspects' SUV on 1960, but they allegedly refused to pull over. Eventually they crashed into a home’s front yard on Nanes Street.
All seven jumped out to run away but were captured with the help of K-9 units and a police helicopter, deputies said. Two guns were recovered at the scene.
Deputies said two of the seven suspects are juveniles.
