HOUSTON — A man was arrested in connection with a fatal crash in Houston that happened in 2015. Investigators believe Medina was driving drunk.

Jose Andrade-Medina, 35, was arrested after living for nearly a decade as a fugitive, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals.

Medina was the driver of a car with three passengers when the car crashed, U.S. Marshals said.

One of the passengers was killed. Medina and two of the passengers were taken to the hospital. U.S. Marshals say Medina fled the hospital before law enforcement arrived.

The victim's name was not released.

Investigators learned that Medina was living in Richmond, Texas, in the Keegan at Mission Glen Apartments. Deputy U.S. Marshals surveilled the apartment and saw Medina leaving in a truck. He was taken into custody without incident.

Medina was booked into the Fort Bend County Jail and was awaiting extradition to Harris County. Medina would face a charge of intoxication manslaughter.
